Open to domestic students who have completed a Diploma or Associate Degree in Applied Science at UQ and have articulated into and are enrolled to study in the Bachelor of Applied Science, in the discipline of plants.  

Selection will be based on financial need; academic achievement; demonstrated interest in plants; personal qualities including leadership potential; and other evidence deemed relevant.   Preference will be given to students from rural areas of Australia (any town or city that is not a capital). 
If, in a year, no student satisfies the criteria referred to above, the scholarship is open to any student who is undertaking their final year of study in the university's Bachelor of Applied Science, with a major, or extended major, in the field of plants.
Value: $5,000 for one year, subject to satisfactory academic progress and continued enrolment.
