banner: Am I eligible for credit towards my UQ Science program?

If you are an international student who has completed previous studies you may be eligible for credit towards a UQ Science program. Please download the credit sheet for your institution and get an indication of credit you may be eligible for.

NOTE: While not all of your home institution's programs and UQ Faculty of Science programs are listed in the credit sheets, it is still possible that you are eligible for credit. Programs not listed in the credit sheets will be assessed on a case by case basis. Please contact the Faculty of Science office for further advice on possible credit exemption.

How to read the credit sheets:

Find the program you have studied in the columns of the credit sheet. Then, find the UQ Science program in the rows on the left that you are interested in applying for. The cell where column and row meet will show you the maximum credit that you may receive. Please note that this is a guide only and that credit is not final until the application has been assessed.

#8 = half a year
#16 = one year
#24 = one and a half years
#32 = two years

Example: If the credit sheet shows that you may receive #24 credit towards the UQ Bachelor of Science (3 year program), then that means that you will get an exemption for #24 units which equals 1.5 years. You only need to complete 1.5 years of study to graduate with a Bachelor of Science.
