What happened last year at the Careers in Geography Day?
In 2008, more than 300 high school students from across Queensland and northern New South Wales attended UQ’s Careers in Geography Day program to explore geography and related disciplines at university level. Workshops covered disciplines such as ecology, demography, environmental management, regional and town planning and spatial science with topics such as:

Examine the different environments of three different periods: Jurassic (160 million years ago); Quaternary (1 million years ago) and Holocene (10,000 years ago) from three locations in Queensland through fossils and investigate the major influences on the environment for these three different periods

An interactive workshop where students were asked to provide their opinions about the future of Brisbane
